In the writings of the "Father of (European) History," Herodotus, he
constantly makes ccomparisons to the actions and traditions of the Greeks
to the people of KMT (ancient Egyptians).

"The Greeks tell many tales without due investigation, and among them
the following silly fable respecting Hercules..And again, how would it
have been possible for Hercules alone, and, as they confess, a mere mortal,
to destroy so many thousands? In saying thus much concerning these matters,
may I incur no displeasure either of god or hero!"- Example of Lying

"Almost all the names of the gods came into Greece from Egypt. My inquiries
prove that they were all derived from a foreign source, and my opinion
is that Egypt furnished the greater number...Besides these which have
been here mentioned, there are many other practices whereof I shall speak
hereafter, which the Greeks have borrowed from Egypt. "- Unoriginality,

Herodotus on theories of the Hapi's (Nile River's) origins derived by
the Greeks.
"Some of the Greeks, however, wishing to get a reputation for cleverness,
have offered explanations of the phenomena of the river, for which they
have accounted in three different ways. Two of these I do not think it
worth while to speak of, further than simply to mention what they are...
The second opinion is even more unscientific than the one just mentioned,
and also, if I may so say, more marvellous...
The third explanation, which is very much more plausible than either
of the others, is positively the furthest from the truth; for there is
really nothing in what it says, any more than in the other theories...
As for the writer who attributes the phenomenon to the ocean, his account
is involved in such obscurity that it is impossible to disprove it by
argument."

"Concerning Egypt itself I shall extend my remarks to a great length,
because there is no country that possesses so many wonders, nor any that
has such a number of works which defy description. Not only is the climate
different from that of the rest of the world, and the rivers unlike any
other rivers, but the people also, in most of their manners and customs,
exactly reverse the common practice of mankind. The women attend the
markets and trade, while the men sit at home at the loom; and here, while
the rest of the world works the woof up the warp, the Egyptians work
it down; the women likewise carry burthens upon their shoulders, while
the men carry them upon their heads."- First this shows an example of
universalism, in herodotus' proclamation of Egyptians actions being the
"reverse of mankind." Secondly, this "backwards behavior" hints at the
significantly different position of women in a society where they were
freer and had more social moblity than the women of Greek society.

"They (Egyptians) are religious to excess, far beyond any other race
of men, and use the following ceremonies:- They drink out of brazen cups,
which they scour every day: there is no exception to this practice. They
wear linen garments, which they are specially careful to have always
fresh washed. They practise circumcision for the sake of cleanliness,
considering it better to be cleanly than comely. The priests shave their
whole body every other day, that no lice or other impure thing may adhere
to them when they are engaged in the service of the gods. Their dress
is entirely of linen, and their shoes of the papyrus plant: it is not
lawful for them to wear either dress or shoes of any other material.
They bathe twice every day in cold water, and twice each night; besides
which they observe, so to speak, thousands of ceremonies. "
