U have to be careful 'bout makin' generalizations. U know homogenizing White people, lumpin' them all into one group. This goes for everyone, no matter what ethnicity(I say ethnicity b/c race is something that has been created for the sake of classification, there is no such thing as different races, there's just one: the Human Race). Generalizations like that are dangerous. We're all individuals, it's not fair to assume all peoples are the same, just 'cause of the color of their skin.
As for the FEAR FACTOR, yes it's true that society is one that's based on fear, if it wasn't there would be no need for militarization, the arms race and what not. But I think it's safe to say that fear is part of the human experience, doesn't matter who u are. I think fear is a result of ignorance. Black, White, doesn't matter, people fear what they don't know, they fear the unfamiliar. Fear doesn'thave a color. Where there is lack of love, faith, wisdom and knowledge,is where u'll find fear.
Also, people have a 'need' to control things. If they don't feel they are in control, it makes them feel vulnerable and afraid. The key is to know what u can can control and what u can't. U know: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can and the wisdom to know the difference".
How can u deal with fearful peoples? U can't control how others act or feel. What u CAN control is how YOU choose to REACT to outside circumstances, and other people etc. Don't worry so much 'bout how OTHERS think, focus on yourself.
"Nothin' to fear, but fear itself right"?
