I think that the idea can be applied to more than just the attacks, and it isn't the only consideration or factor that dictates personal outlook. BTW the reason I don't feel like visiting indonesia right now is that I'm visibly western: young, caucasian, clothes, manurisms (sp) etc. Sure, it wasn't all white cristian americans that were killed, but some targets are more easily identified than others. I would be more afraid in a muslim country now as I currently appear, american or not as I am, than if I had signs of devout muslim faith. It's about perception.
