Stern publiclly gave Gilbert a pass for the character attack that Gilbert did against LeBron last year. By doing so he empowered so called small market owners to act and behave in a way that is detrimental to the league..

as the commisioner, the fact that players can play for whom they like at some point in their careers should not be something the commisioner of the NBA should stand in the way of. It's the rules of the game...it's the reality of modern professional sports, and by looking to stand against that, it causes a serious problem in the league.

the attitude that Dan Gilbert displayed last year, and displays now should be rejected by all involved in the NBA...

the crying and complaining of the so-called small market teams is a cop out for poor management that should not be given credibility... New York and Los Angeles teams don't win titles every year in pro sports...it's a myth that locale is what is the determining factor in this.... It's the quality of an organization....
