The owners of the team aka the other owners in the league were the ones who shot it down. He has to convince them to get their panties out of a twist and let the deal happen. But I could see guys like Dan Gilbert standing by their idiocy.
What Stern NEVER should have done is okayed the deal without checking with them first.
