let the new owners take on whatever contracts they want, the NBA is saying we're not taking on any further debt obligations (i.e. expensive contracts that extend beyond this year). they could give a fuck if this makes the Hornets uncompetitive, anybody looking to invest will be considering many, many factors besides just the '11-12 / '12-13 W-L records.
