it basically just said the Lakers would explore either of the two most coveted guys on the trading block, which was the biggest 'no shit' news ever & not even worthy of being news until ESPN beat you over the head with it like it was.

He worded that with enough ambiguity that he didn't need both of them coming (which still isn't necessarily happening anyway) and all he had to do was say Mitch was putting in the same call a lot of other GMs were/are (difference being Mitch is the GM of the crown jewel franchise & in a place people wanna play with assets to trade).
