I think the trade value of Chris Cooley was always exaggerated by we Skins fan faithful.

In truth, his peers for the majority of his career were Antonio Gates, Jason Witten, Tony Gonzalez, and Dallas Clark. All of those guys were and mostly still are better than Cooley ever was and none of those guys wouldn have earned more than a mid-to-late round 2nd at the height of their peak (save for MAYBE Gates.)
