lived just outside for a couple years as a kid.
having a bad first year as a starter isn't "on track" to being good.
it's "on track" to being bad.
occasionally, some get off that track, but generally, good players play well and bad players play badly.
it's really a basic concept. good players have decent games against defenses not named "broncos" or "texans", two of the worst passing defenses in the league.
