sure we can blame the individual people who caused v-tech and columbine to happen, but to do so without looking at overall trends and the ways in which society allows people to let that agression out on other people (i.e. easy access to guns) is just deluding yourself. this is off-topic, but it's the same idea. people don't realize you can mourn, blame whoever you want, AND address the bigger picture.
