By most accounts, Benoit was an emotionally closed-off guy. Even Dean Malenko, one of his best friends, admitted few people ever really got to know him. Those close to him figured this was just his personality, but it's certainly possible he was hiding something much darker.

The effects of the steroids are a possibility, too. When this news first came out, I assumed you couldn't blame the industry for once -- it was either a horrific accident, or some foul play was involved. But now, as it's looking more and more like a murder-suicide that played out an entire weekend, it isn't out of the question that this is yet again another example of the pro-wrestling lifestyle ending someone's life prematurely. Even sadder, it took two innocent people along with him, too.
