I was a hardcore wrestling fan from age 6 up until just a few years ago, when the product in North America dropped off so tremendously it was painful to keep watching. But when I read the subject of this thread, my heart sank. Chris Benoit was easily the best wrestler of his generation -- better than Eddie, Angle, Foley, Malenko, etc. He was one of only a handful of guys you could watch perform with people who hate wrestling and not be ashamed to be a fan. And for him to go out in what is (no matter what the cause turns out to be) one of the worst tragedies this sport has ever seen is just ... I don't know. I just don't know. Considering the circumstances, this hurts worse than Eddie, maybe even more than Owen.
