29816, i'm wary of that label in general Posted by smutsboy, Tue Jan-17-06 08:29 AM
i can't think of too many players in any sport who i legitimately thought were big-game chokers. i just think its an affliction that's not as common as people think it is. so i wait as long as possible to apply it to someone.
that being said, there's no denying that peyton is a straight bitch. his comments sealed the deal. but i already disliked him when i realized he constantly walks off the field berating teammates like "you fucked up." I mean, when he throws a bad int does he berate himself? no, he looks at the WR or some shit like that.
that's no way to lead a team. you can't publicly belittle teammates on a constant basis and expect anything good to come from it: see Owens, Terrell.
>>I'm just wary of going overboard on Peyton hate. >how can you go overboard on someone who has seemingly every >individual regular season accomplishment a player can get, yet >when his team needs him most, fails to deliver with a >transcendent, legendary performance to validate all of the >praise constantly and consistently delivered to him? >and to top it off, after delivering a characteristically poor >showing (although the statistics may look more respectable >than they were), rather than just taking it on the head and >spreading the blame equally like "we were whipped in all >facets of the game" he refers to his protection. SOOOOO >BITCHMADE. really, if he was one of the notorious "me" >athletes, he would have been absolutely CRUCIFIED. it brings >to mind the "Leon" bud light commercials, and i wish i was >joking when i say this.
