Man, I’ve watched the NBA, as a fan of the Lakers, since 1979. That’s the last 40 years of my life. I’ve seen great players come and go. Not like this though. It wasn’t supposed to be like this or maybe it was. My son asked my yesterday if this was ordained. And what I could I tell him after years of professing that “It Was Written”? I had to stick to the script and do what I could to help my son process it. Anyway...
On Day 2 of this thing and I feel worse the more I crack open IG and the more I learn about how the younger inspired players are feeling. Sadly and selfishly, I won’t give much energy to how his wife and their remaining children are feeling. That would be too much pain to process and sympathize with. I’ll continue to just pray for them without giving in to that.
