well, at least not as open as he used to.
not to make any excuses for Eli, when he's awful he's awful.
However when Nicks is on, he either catches anything, no matter how close the coverage, or he's WIDE THE FUCK OPEN to where Eli can't fuck it up.
those times have been few and far between, hence Eli being pedestrian.
Add to the fact that he doesn't have a 3rd wr he trusts like mario (who for all his inconsistency, Eli'd go to for a big play)
