If not the worst team in the West.
I'm sure they hoped that Kobe would be Kobe, Hibbert would wake up, Randle and Russell would be stars, but realistically, most people had them as a long shot of breaking out of the bottom 8 in the league, nevermind making the top 8 in the West.
