^This is a team that is *in progress* -- yet people want to write them off as a failure if they don't beat an all-time great team in the Finals. Non-sense. It took the Heat time to mesh as well - and they were built as a title contender on *day one* -- this is a team with far less playoff experience and a budding superstar (Irving) who needs the time and experience to develop. Add on to that the fact that Love has been woefully disappointing and you've got a team that still is under construction and perhaps not quite ready for that crowning achievement.
Bron understood this from day one in Cleveland - it's why he didn't panic after last year's finals - and it's why he won't panic after this year's finals - he's here for the *process* to fight the good fight. I genuinely see him as enjoying the journey - particularly with Irving - and that's as enjoyable to him as anything.
