106331, Duke as the nucleus of his agenda doesn't make sense to me Posted by Vex_id, Wed Aug-20-14 09:36 PM
but it doesn't have to. Only college team I ever stan'd out for was the '89 Flying Illini squad with Kendall Gill (my fav. all-time player), Nick Anderson, Kenny Battle, Marcus Liberty etc...
I rock w/ a lot of Illini alum (derek harper, deron williams). I grew up in Illinois from ages 3-9 and my dad was a huge illinois fan so we it was seeded in me - so i can rock w/ this:
>Heck, the reason he roots for Duke has a reason: >Johnny Dawkins is a DC-legend, and Basa was watching >Johnny Dawkins at Duke in his baby carriage
cool. But "Kyrie's team!" though? Not cool.
I'm very high on Kyrie - his play-making ability and creativity w/ the ball in his hands is going to make life easier for Lebron and present a dynamic we've never seen with Lebron. I always felt that if Lebron joined Chicago in 2010 (MVP year Rose) - that it would be an unstoppable offensive juggernaut.
If you thought Wade & Lebron were nice in the open court, Kyrie x Kang is going to create unbelievable highlight reels - and their creativity will develop faster than what we saw with Lebron & Wade.
Still, it's Kang's team. Kyrie has accomplished exactly what Kevin Love has: nothing. They both are playing with one of the 3 best players to ever play the game when Bron's career is all said & done. So while they are fine players, you fall in line when Alexander mounts the horse and leads the warriors into battle.
Kang's team.
