Your notions of respect seem to be strongly tied to 755. Overtaking Aaron in the record books cannot take away from what Aaron did. I respect Hank Aaron as a man and as a ballplayer, in the final analysis I really don't care if he's on top of the HR chart. Everyone knows that Willie Mays was a better player, but that doesn't make Aaron any less special. Hank was the only one who went through what he went through. No one can take that away from him. Certainly not Barry.
