This isn't an academic debate forum. Its a sports forum, full of witty characters, lively personalities, and lots of testosterone.

That explains why he's acting like that.

I don't know him, but suspect he's very intelligent and a productive member of our society. He probably couldn't harm a fly in real life.

>'Isiah Thomas is unfairly criticized b/c of racism, similarly
>Bird is cut too much slack'

See, the problem is, people here don't agree with that statement.

>'of all the bad GMs in the league, Thomas is not as bad as
>McHale, Ainge or Bird'

Yeah, Bags has actually had that debate with people on these boards. You act like no one ever said otherwise. He's not always inventing opposition. He actually has opposition.

>It really could be that simple. That's the kind of debate i
>prefer. Debate w/o the bullshit.

The problem is, his wise-ass-tactics are no worse than say....Liquiddope. Basaglia would say that LD doesn't get hated on nearly as much, because people are more willing to accept a balsy, wise-cracky white kid before they will a black one.

That is where me and Basaglia agree, to an extent.
