8471, Eternity's Half-Life A CollaboPoem by Boon and Anita J

We worked on a Free write poem together on Tuesday, hope y'all dig it. "Hey Anita, thanks for helping me break my drought"

(Boon)

Life is full of collaborations.
Toes and fingers work together
for the common good, and aid the
mover, the shaker.
A butterfly has two wings, two antennae
and two forms ( before and after metamorphosis).

I am not who I used to be
Not who I strive to be
but on my journey, I've had
help along the way.

I was born of a collaboration,
between two forms filled with Love,
and Hope, and purpose, and
identities that existed long
before I dubbed them Mommy and Daddy.

(Anita)

Possibilities descend upon our skies
like tempest clouds before rainstorms
appear to wash away yesterday's woes.

We stretch our hands to the downpour
and are strenghtened by Maya's tears.

I sing a song of oneness in my dreams
beyond this world's barriers and multitude
of limitations. In my dreams, we all can
smile and be happy, loving one another.

(Boon)

In these dreams, nature provides
the soundtrack as I splash through
future's promise filled puddles.
I cup my hands and dip them deep
into Maya's left-over tears.
I drink deep- never wanting to wake
from this dream of washed away yesterdays

Please don't shake my shoulder
and disturb me. Cause tonight's dream
is so much more
pleasing than the reality
I awake to.

(Anita J)

though my wishes remain the same,
still i arise every morning to the same
adversities. So I 've learned to change
my perception of the reality I exist

within presently to see that life is
what you make of it, now you choose
to percieve and recieve it up to a
degree, up to an extent, there isn't

anyone who could make you unfree
because no one could steal your
spiritual soul away from yourself,
your physical body.

(Boon)

And when I depart from
this shell, this body...
Someone sing a song for my soul.

Make it loud and long
so it lasts till eternity,
that's how long I'll be gone.

Simplicity of character is the natural result of profound thought.
