I hate to laugh at something so serious but I got this Daria type vibe from it. I felt like you were being sarcastically truthful about the whole matter but just really dry about it (Like "blah") hence the humor I found in it. I've been like this before so I relate to the fullest. I would go into the idea about your poetry being horrible but you already know what I think.
