I've had a hard time trying to figure what to say about love. Sooo, I wrote this a few minutes ago about my ongoing situation and I'll use this first. There's more to come. :)


We fenced for
Almost a decade
Exhausting
Our souls
Then
Recuperating
Enough to utter
Our proclamation
I am love
We are love
This is love
Back and forth
Becoming out of
Breath with each
Abusive thrust
We
Rested and fought
Until someone
Was wounded
And retreated
To heal
In the dark
Sprawling
Alone moments
That choked
Our chi

Half heartedly
Moved on
To make our
Own families
And lives
Motions
To forget
The others
Smiling Face
Musical Laugh
The powerful
Pressure
Of our embrace
Over and under
Minutes, days, and years
Through betrayal
A cancelled wedding
Past embarrassment
Withdrawal
And perceived hatred
We returned
Only to find that
Love is not a game
Our proclamation
Wasn’t our truth
I am love
We aren’t love
This isn’t love
Our love hurts
