It's been sixteen years since I wrote this letter. It's June 2008 the Presidential election year that promises to change the face and direction of not only America but the world. Did Barak Obama win? Did he win a second term? What's it like now that the world has seen the fourth term of the new North American government?
As for me has the change been as drastic?
Let's see I can only imagine; by God's grace Alliyah, is 16, Tatyannah 17, and Jalil 17 all grand's do I have any more ?
All my children are grown Michaela 39, Rashiid 37, Omar 35, Ismaeel 25, Khaliif 22, and except Xanthis she aint quite grown at 19 but i bet she is smart and a looker.
And where are Rhoda and Tanekia at 41 and 45?
Technological advances has kept me in great health since the North American Treaty actually made it a Republic or Union hmm?
By now the hater's as we called it might say the world is socialist but it is perhaps better off as for everyday people.
Long old wars of religion have just about ended forever racism sexism and hunger should have been eradicated since media exchanges have allowed people to just about live together without leaving their homes.
Twelve Step programs have reached far into what was once dictatorships and changed the minds of how people coexist.
Remember that perfect dream I had well it was just the other night but remember how everything for me changed from that dream?
I saw the world from a whole different place when I woke up, that's why I am writing this letter cause in that moment I believed and everything changed.
There are reality shows just about to kick off asking people to invent things to be creative to come up with the newest world, changing item. Imagine that one mind that can see past the troubles of our time.
We survived and now because of one thought, one idea, one single purpose we, none of us, are controlled by the fears that at one time had a grip on our minds and in just 16 years are now travelers of the Universe...Devine.
