God Sweat...two things counted against you. 1st...busting first, which is always a tough thing in these tourneys. Second, since there was no bar structure...Ezz just overkilled you with punch lines. You came nice, though, would like to see Ezz set it off next round to see how you do with some ammo.

Ezz...my main beef with your rhymes is now and has always been cadence. i think the true test of an emcee's style is whether or not you can catch the flow when you read it. Yours is normally all over the place...and you catch victory off outshooting your opponent. That being said, I can't say that your lines didn't have some sting to them. your ending came together nicely...and you used the openings your opponent offerred you well.

ezz was overkill but that was down to her structure, whereas godsweat came with flow but it lacked a certain sting, like ezz's line about leaving u sagged like arabs or toe tagged in tha coffin had me on the edge like damn, but if it had the cadence to match it would have been a drastic verse, i usually fall for flow, so i found godsweats much easier to read and digest,especially the "need to go back to swallowing line", felt it was slept on cause of the way it flowed, and for that reason i go with ezz, cause the tourney is about punchlines and sting, and ezz brought it to the "table"?!?

Godsweat had some clean, crisp, hard punches -- Just steady rockin' from side to side -- but steppin' lightly. He didn't have any *fancy* moves or footwork -- but he got the job done. I ain't gon' lie, he could've elaborated a lil' bit more; maybe spiced up the verbals with some hot pepper sauce or cayenne -- but like I said, it was basically a clean fight.

Ezzy -- on the other hand -- was scratchin', kickin', spittin' & biting -- as well as punching -- (Arms swinging in every direction) -- *chuckles* -- :P

She was kicking ass tho -- :9 -- She even picked up a trash can and threw it at him -- *LoL*

In other words: She fights like a girl! -- But then, SHE "IS" A GIRL -- and a feminine one at that -- So I guess that's par for the course.

I also liked what Ezzy had to say -- her kicks & punches hit not only hard -- but deep, leaving a coupla indentions in godsweat's fo'head -- :P

Yeah, she fights like a girl -- But I gotta give it to Ms. Ezzy, cuz she's tightened up her lyrical muscles and she flexxed em' right here.

Ok so not an expert but if we're going to get this place shifting then we all got to contribute so sticking with boxing metaphors :D, my take is this:

Godsweat came with a solid workman like verse taking the difficult lead off and worked it well, nothing fancy and I'd have liked to have seen more shots thrown with some more unusual angles but a nice solid verse.

Ezz, came throwing fire but lacked a touch of discipline and I'd like to see a more solid structure given this is battling, which in my opinion should be based on skill as well as punch-lines.

Overall then, being the great big liberal that I am, I'm sitting on the fence and scoring round 1 a 10-10 draw.

but his verse was clean...all we have is words. they have to be able to carry me cuz i cant hear the verse in audio, i learned that in my earlier days on OKP, visual cadence...it was times where i had to read her line again, cuz it drop cadence, even with throwing style on it to carry the line over....her verse was more creative but...

my vote: Godswest....just for overall delivery, cuz that all battle is about...who can deliver a verse.

Flow: 3-1 godsweat ~~~ Ezz was all over the place and the visual format often ruined what little flow was there

Creativity: 2-1 Ezz ~~~ Honestly, there wasn't a ton of creativity from either but what Ezz lacked in format could only be interpreted as a bit more risky and creative because the creativeness of the punches of each were about even

Punchlines: 3-2 godsweat ~~~ neither was that strong here but the flow helped his land a bit more square and he a was a tad bit more humorous...not cracking up but I didn't even chuckle through ezz...the one line she praised I'd heard here on this board time and time again

Style: 2-2 ~~~ godsweat was a bit generic/bland whereas Ezz was just a bit too erratic to establish any type of vibe which should've been easier with the verse length but there did seem to be something you were onto but didnt quite grab
