i watch you loving
someone else while i record
your dreams

i feel every ounce of pain
and still i write with
full mmeaning

i sit at the well
of springs
where hearts emerse themselves
in pity, scorn and
self defeat

tears fall from the eyes
of morners
while my pen drips
blood on paper
capturing the moment
you first believed

the eulogy
that was left
at the pulpit
fell from the tip
of mine own imagination

as you slept
it was i that
listened for angels
to whisper desires
of the heart

the seas speaks to me
in my dreams
the oceans cry names
from the deep

as i wait for them
to rise from the tomb
i spell words
a letter at a time
telling ancient stories

the trees bow
in the hollow of night
to bring joy
from yesterdays sorrows
as i search their roots
for answers to watchful eyes

babies smile
there am i
war zones reach
near genocide
an my ink spillz again

sensuous urges
heat the tip
of my stick
where i paint
images of bodies
on papyrus
keeping secrets
in the open

suicide letters
homocidal notes
all fall beneath
the oil lamp
chronicled by extremities
that curve with every emotion

the last to find relief
from the incessant
longings of needful things
i keep watch
be cause i am a poet

Baltimore has made me into a angelic/demonic hybrid. So I try my best to stay righteous. And to do Godly things, without flippin the switch that will release all the anger and pain I've managed to bottle up. Shakeet means 'peaceful', and Lokh Em means 'warrior' in Hebrew. I'm just tryin to make it day by day like everybody else.
