idk, your stuff is solid but technically its kinda basic, no knock on you by any means, just different strokes you know.
i think your punches could be alot stronger if you stayed away from just making every word at the end of a bar rhyme and dropped some internal rhymes to speed the flow up, because its not that your shit is bad, i just get bored when im reading it because it doesn't flow super smooth.

Kid, look back at the posts...with the exception of me, wrongly I admit it, flyin' off the handle on Ric with one of his lines (which we later briefly discussed) hdub's boys have been relatively silent with the exception of Sik's comedic relief, which with all the intensity and emotion displayed in all the posts related to this battle, was necessary in my opinion. Most of the shit talkin here has been going back and forth between ric and hdub...except for you when ya came in with this...tell me if I got it wrong or out of context:

Round 1: first off let me just say that the first two rounds were extremely hard call, only becauz yall both came out strong. For the first round imma give it to Ric. Even though Hdub came thorough with the ill line about burning down D.C. like it was 1812. I felt Dub was just getting warmed up though, and Ric definetely had me picturing his statements. Good shit from both of you.
HDub: 9, Ric: 10

Round 2: I have to give this round to Hdub for two rymes that stuck out to me. The first was when he made reference to the late Rockafella Mc Amil and then imediately tied the (Whooop Whoop) from her song to one of the greatest songs in hip-hop history by KRS One. Another line that stood out was the rhyme About him being the white brown bomber knocking out Max's. I don't have to explain the hole politics with Joe Luis for you to realize that the line was ill. Straight up ill though Your joint was ill though about your rhyme being huge like 3rd i and Zin fucking. That was Kodak imagery status right there. In my Opinion this round goes to H-Dub by an incling. but dogz Ric you came with some heat like the fire that burned down the pentagon in sept.

HDub: 10, Ric: 9

Round 3: reminds me of our 3rd round battle a bit because HDub's verse was longer and stronger in my humble opinion. I think Hunt might of gave you the Ok player KO on this round. I mean the Lean Back ryme was ill. I feel like Ric you drop alot of better stuff than the round you spit back to H-Dub. But then again there was a wierd time frame thing going on with you two.

i been trying to calculate votes and im not sure how to do it cause a) its damn close

and b)some people did specific scored individual rounds and some didnt

this is the scoring system i came up with

i want to stress that i am NOT TRYING TO START ANY SHIT WITH THIS (this should be pretty obvious cause as of now my system gives ric an *ever so slight* edge)

i consider this a work in progress i just wanted to get us all started on getting a consensus on how we were gonna score this

here's what i did:

for people like hunuh and ezzsential who gave specific scores for all three rounds i obviously just plugged in their judgements

since bartek only looked at the first two and said ric had it i put him down as scoring the first two rounds 10-9 ric and i didnt put anything down for him in the third

since NoBle just said "Ric!!" without scoring any of the rounds individually assume he feels ric won all three so i put him down as scoring it 10-9 ric for all three rounds

it was pretty much the same with blaksilence. since blak said the whole battle was ric winning 8-7.9 i put him down as giving ric each round wit a score of 8-7.9

like i said this is a work in progress

if any of you who voted object to what i put down for ya and want to elaborate this is your chance to let me know

if any of you object to this system entirely let me know and suggest how you think we should do it

im not stuck on this i just thought it was a good way to score quite a tight battle

Why cats gotta vote anyway? Why can't sometimes it just be about rhymin? I ain't been on here that long, but the only time I saw anyone really vote was for the King of the Ring joints. These side battles, nobody really be votin on. So if that's the case, screw it, just rhyme without a reason. Make an ill thread, and that should be accolade enough.

normally, u dont tally it up rd by rd, what happens is, if a person gives one person 2 out of the 3 rds, than that just counts as one vote for that person, kinda like boxin...if this judge voted i came out with a 29-28 win, then that just counts as 1 of me, and say only 3 people voted, and lets say the first 2 judges gave me the fight, and the third gave it to you, then i win 2-1, just think of it as boxin, the way u were doing it is a lil weird but its cool, no need for a post tho, we already got this thread up twice, just keep the polls open til friday or whatever

If it means anything from me, of course you won. You throw straight jabs with creativity that have the same rythem as ric's, his wordplay is nice but sometimes he overdoesit. The last verse was almost of epic proportions, and this was an epic triumph. Not in the sense that you murdered ric overall, but your punchlines and style just stepped up over ric's, and all the thorough evalutations and commentary support that.
