…an ever spinning arc
twisting perception
to perfect an ellipse
then turning tides to an intrinsic rhythm
not sure where it comes from
somewhere inside
outside
up there in the music

but I’m off-beat, off-centre, out-of-tune, out-of time

I float on momentum
get enmeshed in the galaxy
if this glass is ever half-empty
it’s not what I meant it to be
never want to seem blue
…nor feel it too
I wax and wane though
still and always
come back to full

for you know i hold
potential
infinite

..a woman
reaching with arms outstretched
towards the light

his love a larger mass
an unseen force,
gravity
a strong arm around me
knowing no corners, shortcuts
i love between worlds
of day and night, north and south
straddling the earth
so neither hemisphere owns me
see i’m only here temporarily
hardly long enough to notice

…a note
wilder than free, sweeter than sugar
unleashed energy

…a dream
in that soft space between
sleep and wakefulness

…a woman
reaching with arms outstretched

…noone knows the origin
…of my shine
