Well.. I've seen the roots here in the D almost 10 times... and I've seen them do a range of shows from 45min to 3 hrs in length. A 90 min. show is a decent amount of time. It certainly doesn't warrant foks rioting over the time. But I would understand them doing that if you did the 45 min set. I I know I was very pissed when I saw that. The roots just can't do 45 min. sets. It should be outlawed!!

- When DeLa comes to town they always do 90 min- 2hr sets. Nothing less than stellar performances. Whenever common comes into town he always does about 90 min. also.
- I don't go to many underground shows so I can't comment.

- I expect a commercial cat like Nelly to do about 45 minutes. Especially since he's usually on tour with about 5 other acts ( see Detroit Music Festival) Now... when Janet comes to town I know I'm going to get at least 2 hours because she's the headliner.
