This was in 2000. Another great moment is The Roots in Austin is the show where they came down to play one show at the University of Texas in a gym. After they played all the Roots hits they finished with you Got Me. Then ?west goes into a drum solo. When I say he went into a drum solo, that guy was solo. There was no one else on stage. I want to say it was like 10 minutes with him out there alone drumming. It was amazing. I know this sounds stupid but every Roots show I have seen has been the same but different. I would have to say my least favorite Roots performance I have seen was the Okayplayer tour. I am talking about just the Roots set cause they backed up almost everyone the whole night if my memory serves me right. I might be wrong. Damn weed. Wait, seeing Guru and Black Thought trading rhymes on DWYCK was the greatest moment. I would give anything to have a recording of that one jam.
>"I will never forget the first Roots show I saw in Austin. >At the end of the show Scratch was beat boxing and all you >guys were on the front of the stage and the thousands there >were singing tv theme songs." >When was this. Thats tight.
