I would like to comment. I saw Donnie perform at the Black Cat (DC) on 2/28 with Goapele and Fertile Ground and it was the best $15 I've ever spent. Donnie was energetic, has a GREAT voice and he really was able to get the crowd into the show. As someone stated earlier, he's retro and refreshing at the same time. I purchased cds from each of the performers that evening and have been hooked ever since. I played the Donnie cd so much that it cracked in half (Giant Step was gracious enough to send me a free copy- which someone stole) and ended up purchasing a second copy from Tower Records for $8.99. Best $8.99 spent to date.
