Ok - I am not in philly but I am a vet - 48 years and counting and here are a few reasons for the inbox so I ma going to give it go

1. in uk so miss all listening parties and jammys etc etc
2. The Roots have been an inspiration to me and helped me discover all things hip-hop
3. ?uestlove has inspired my drumming
4. Can play the drum part to 75 Bars - well 80% there
5. Have seen the band twice live in the UK - London and Bristol - that's once for every visit since I became a fan
6. Have persuaded my band to cover Birthday Girl at our gigs - first outing will be in June
7. Discovered J Dilla through them (plus erykah, amy, tanya morgan and d'angelo)
8. Its 6.30pm here
9. My cat - Wallis - is not very well
10. Looking forward to Rising Down and Al Green album
11. Have taken Game Theory to my local record club
12. Love the Sousaphone
