I tried to click into Ticketmaster from 9:59 and kept getting the "no tickets for sale" message until about 10:20. I had a friend in line at Ovens at the same time... there were six people ahead of her in line and "best available" was the back row of the orchestra???

But I took them, though.

Dave did a few routines. He was funny as usual. Kweli ripped it. He did quite a few jawns. Erykah's voice was hoarse as hell, but she still managed to put on a decent show. The band was tight. Then near the end, she, Kweli and Dave all freestyled different stuff. Dave even busted a little freestyle. It was held at the Black Forest theater in sunny south Dallas. I was kinda hoping The Fugees would make a surprise performance...but I guess I was wishing for too much.

why am i imagining that these tickets are going to be either 100 dollars or close to it?

About how many people attended or showed up-roughly? I mean was it a sell out or did it appear to be one. So this goes out to the players that went. While it sounded pretty cool from the cat that went, I think I'll get more out of the movie or when it comes out on DVD, than had I put down 55 bucks for a ticket.

I have to tell you this show was okay, nothing to brag about. Dave Chappelle was hilarious of course but he was more like a host of the concert. The funniest part of the evening is when Dave had them playing the theme songs from Good Times and The Jeffersons and the white folks were looking like "What the fuck?" Talib Kweli was good but most of the folks that came out, I don't think they were familiar with his music or style. Black Thought and Mos Def did not show.

Now onto Erykah.......As much as I love her, she sucked!!!!!! I've seen her live and I swear her show is to die for but last night at the Tower was another story. What happened? Then they cut her show so she started to do a medley of some songs. She didn't do "Kiss me on my neck" or "I want you". I was very disappointed.

The jam session at the end was a joke.

Black Ice came out and stole the whole show. They could have given him more time.
