depends on the shot, mostly all the photos get a little level adjustment, but nothing major.

Nice color and density but, its kind of static.

yeh I haven't been able to leave my area much, I work ALOT. Let's see what you got. Cuz u kinda don't play around ;-)

i saw your sig, i cant wait to travel with my gear.

I should shoot harder than i do i've been investing more time into muic but i plan on doing more traveling i might be heading to cuba during this winter to shoot. I'll be graduated with my bachalors in photojournalism by then.

i could have sworn cuz ive received photos from him straight off his camera that were treated all funky with a filter overlay to give those color effects.

i swear.

i stole some light gels from our light guy to do a majority of the color jawns.
but i use the "pix enhance" option on my powerbook (not photoshop)
--just thought i'd clear the air.

i shoot in black and white with colored gels and alot of homemade tricks (breathe on the lens, homemade lights and hold shutter tricks)

etc. im tired

home made photo tricks are where its at, try those gels over the flash when its dark, u can get some cool isht

Glad we got that all cleared up cuz I was bout to get hot in the pants for a camera that could do tricks like that!

some of those picks you see are straight off the camera. little filter jawns you can apply right on the camera, like sepia only of course more funky.

i havent been able to confirm this with 15 but i am pretty sure

maybe its not his camera. i know those cameras have some crazy output options. it is definitely NOT photoshop. ill get 15 to come on and confirm or deny

pretty much.

By the time the contests comes up i'll be done with a stock photography 294 so i should have some good stuff. I was pretty disapointed with alot of the shit chosen last year.

Maybe I'm jaded because all i hear is photography critque but it seemed to me that some of the ppl were chosen last year because they were popular okayplayers not good photographers, alot of that shit wouldn't of even passed as D+ work at my school. Alot of it was incredible though.

well i guess i must have incredible shit, b/c i sure ain't popular.

I really don't think there's any favouritism going on, you just don't have the same opinion as the person who makes the decisions.

Which one are you. I mean don't get me wrong there is some stuff I showed some of my peers and they were really impressed but some of it was to be nothingless of an asshole, total shit.

Oh n/m i saw what was yours, yah man your stuff isn't bad, its a bit static for my taste but has nice composition and good contrast. The one thing that gets to me is when people try to cover up an uninteresting subject by trying to be abstract, wether it be photoshop or anything else. Just shoot the fucking image for god sakes.

I try to believe that folks were trying to give a range of differents styles and whatnot.

And then again what might seem lack lustre to one might be picasso to another.

I love how art can be subjective and relative to the eyes viewing it.

I don't know how I feel bout OKP's picking the flicks...
maybe a select panel of OKP's but nah I'm not hearing every Joe shmo with their 2 cents getting to say who....Nahhhhhhh man.
