jokes, fam. but i'd like to hear about that. and even moreso about how it went down w/ Sylvia and Bobby and the politics behind recording "The Message".

also, my operating premise is that all the pioneers got jerked and ain't seeing paper off these compilations and rhino reissues (thank goodness for them, though). if you are getting paid off stuff you did on sugarhill, how do the points work out? (i talk to a lot of young kids about the economics and other considerations behind music and sports careers vs. math and science, this would be invaluable either way). plus, lemme find out you only getting a nickel off a 15 dolla cd and i'm like F.T.D.S., i'll burn it and paypal you 50 cent or somethin.
