40173, another new interview with Talib Kweli
Posted by DorianBP, Sat Dec-09-06 08:58 PM
Talib stopped by my radio show again a few weeks back (Nov. 19th to be exact) to give us updates on the 3 main projects he's working on: his "Eardrum" solo, his "Liberation" project with Madlib, and his "Blacksmith: The Movement" mixtape with Jean Grae and Strong Arm Steady. He also talks about his work on the recent Hi-Tek album, some side projects he's doing, the status of Jean and S.A.S.'s albums, Xzibit's relationship with S.A.S., his work on recent Katrina benefits, and more.

Here's the link to the new interview (11-19-06):

We also had him in on Sept. 8th, and he answered all the usual questions about possibly reuniting with Mos Def for another Blackstar album and/or Hi-Tek for another Reflection Eternal project. We also hit on a bunch of other topics then as well.

Here's the link to the older interview (9-8-06) if you missed it:

(If it says “There are no free downloads available,” you’ll notice a countdown right underneath that text. Once that hits zero, you can try to download again. Sometimes, if too many people are downloading it at once, it makes people wait. It should work after a few tries at most, but if you continually have this problem, let me know.)

After the newer interview, we recorded a looooong segment where we had Talib pick a track from each of his projects (from "Blackstar" to "Eardrum") and give us a little insight into how he created it and why. It came out real dope...a ton of interesting behind the scenes stories. As soon as I get that audio ready, I'll post that up as well. But in the meantime, I just wanted to get the information he talked about in the newer interview up and out there for his fans to check out.
