I agree with this. but this is the way of the world in the rap game. is little brother if they dont have a production from 9th? is a tribe track that was produced by someone else really a tribe track if it didnt include ali shaheed? is it really a track by any group if they have a beat submitted by another producer outside of there own boundaries? this is one of the reasons why i dont understand why bands work with producers. are they adding in their two cents?

again this is a good point, but its the way it works. the roots may play the instruments, they may not. personally i think we should get a BT solo where he raps over beats from other producers, while a roots album should be the band playing tracks produced by the band.
