thanks, the part below sort of gets at what i've been asking you. i'm not trying to give you or the band a hard time, just understand who is doing what--it is after all a band, not a production outfit (radiohead managed to be both though on kid a and amnesiac.. not all members played on all songs, the music didn't sound like a "rock band" etc.). i was pleased to read the description of how this song was recorded and can definitely understand why you'd pick that beat.

you don't have to answer it if you don't want to, but i have been asking you about the creative fulfillment you are or are not getting playing material written and (demo) recorded for the roots/black thought. i'm not baiting you at all, i'm just interested, but who knows, maybe the answer will cause someone else to throw it back at you.
