i got you then. i mean that makes SOME sense (from a skeptics pov), but i'm still going to give him the benefit of the doubt (from a human pov).

so i guess it wasn't as much on his own init as i thought, but my whole thing is, when someone apologizes, i try to give them that...and i really think he's sincere. i can't prove it to anyone, but i just think he is.

PS: i don't think its good for people's apologies to be rendered meaningless if the heat is on them...that would leave a person in that situation (who's actually sorry) unable to express contrition.
