But a similar thing happened to iZombie (my iPod) last month and they gave me a $600 quote to recover it. If the music isn't anywhere else and it's not replacable...I'd do it. My stuff wasn't THAT hard to recover (I always filter my music down to my friends, so they had a lot of my stuff on their computers) but since yours obviously is, that's a definite option for ya.
