what a fantastic show. around this time, near the end of the tour, the soultronics
were in full swing. with all songs performed almost on auto-pilot without losing
that funk or enthousiasm that we're used to. this was really an amazing tour. i
can only hope and dream that we'll get to experience this again in the near
future.
eventhough it's an audience recording, this is yet again a nice bootleg for the
fan. the "feel like makin love" performance is still a favorite of mine. i especially
dig the final interlude. instead of playing "maiden voyage" or slum's "fantastic
volume 2" intro, the soultronics go into d'angelo's "africa" and stretch it up to
over five minutes. for a moment there i thought d was actually going to perform
it live, but too bad..
