First of all it's hard for some people to reply to something disrespectful in a respectful manner. I hope we can agree on that, or at least understand it.<BR>After all, he said 'Fuck The Roots'. You can't do much better than that <img src="http://www.okayplayer.com/dcforum/Images/sad.gif"><P>Now, some people tried to explain why The Roots don't have COMPLETE control over where they perform, in a polite way. Others were rude, because they felt it was way out of line to say 'FTR'. Both are human reactions, depending on your persona, the way we are as people.<P>The point is : if you get a disrespectful response, ask yourself why those people react that way (three options : a) they have a serious problem, b) you caused them to react that way by not thinking before you posted, AKA their reaction was more or less justified, or c) a mix of both).<P>My IMPRESSION when rereading the thread is that option a) has been the only answer to broke, he never seemed to consider possibilities b) and/or c). So he replied to the hostilities with even more hostility (which is understandable and human too), but it caused people like me to become hostile ourselves, cos there was no discussion, and the guy blaming other people for cursing him out didn't seem to take the time or effort to consider the possibility that he was partially responsible for this chaos.<P>Some people say that we don't really know the people on the boards. I feel it is NOT true. <BR>We do know each other, but only through what we post here AND the way we do it. <BR>You have to consider that when posting. If I hadn't changed my ways, I'd probably still be known as the 'Angieee stalker' today. <BR>I changed my operating mode and now I think before I post.
