The problem is that because he called Tariq out on a rather sensiive issue, people are trippin and acting like this was not bound to come up!! First of all, if you speak words that encourage blck unity, self love and preservation, then by all means YOU SHOULD LIVE UP TO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Living in the lime light, you must be prepared to be question for just about every career and PERSONAL move you make....too bad...that is the business, get over it. Second, black people will never get anywhere if we are so quick to compromise our personal values and beliefs for what this world deems as "ART".
