<BR>I must say that unlike you I live in the city of chicago and it's very much a segregated and racist city. Rather it be the 50's, 60's or 2000 there is still mad hatred, social inequalities and injustice for my people and for other people of color. My experience as a black woman is different from yours but are similar to Common's so I can relate to where he is coming from. Regardless of his intellect or how famous he becomes in your people eyes Common is keeping it real and speaking on issues or situations that are relevant to him. Rather you can relate or not is not a reason to past judgement on him. <P>I'm sorry that you think since hiphop has become big with white kids or other cultures that it would die if it doesn't appeal to you because you are it's biggest supporters.
