on the memory tip....<P>so i bought dywm based on the strength of hearing Do You Want More and Distortion to Static like twice. knew they were from philly and that was it.<P>and when i got it, i was like, "why doesn't this shit start at 1? wtf?"<P>and then, i played it to death, bought every single that came out, and was in love...<P>came home from college one day, and i'm at sounds of market, and see an all black case that says "the roots" - wondering how a whole new album could have been dropped without me knowing about it, i was type pissed. pick it up, and there is no info, take it to the counter, and dude is like, "no, that's their first album, we only had like a hundred copies of it, blah blah blah."<P>not like what he said wasn't important. but, i didn't care anymore, i knew i had twelved dollars in my pocket, needed two more, knew there was only two copies left, and only had 10 minutes to make it to the pnc and back before they closed, or were sold out.<P>pissed, i hide the shit inbetwwen labelle and levert and motor to the closest mac machine, swing back, cop dat jawn, and was happy as shit.<P>now, i love my organix, and having to get it the way i did, so nobody at school could say shit to me about philly and hip hop.<P>shit, we need to remember those grand old days a bit more...<P>_______________________________________<BR><a href="http://www.h8r.com/diallo" target="_blank">http://www.h8r.com/diallo<;/a>
