When you turn off the spotlight and strip away the $$$ and recognition all anybody can be is human. Humans have good days and bad days, likes and dislikes, and even flaws. What pisses me off is that people keep criticizing artists for not being down to earth or fitting some superstar standard like smiling in everybody's face when someone says they are a fan. Just enjoy the music! People get so caught up in the external, material facades rather than just relaxing and being happy that there are musicians like The Roots out there making good music. The whole "he spoke to me", "kissed my friend" bs is so triflin' and fake!
