Just wondering, cause he says a lot of stuff in his music (and his album covers) that reflect both religions. Maybe he believes in one solely, but doesn't discount the wisdom of the other. Maybe he believes in both. So what's the deal?

My guess is he's Muslim, especially from his thank yous on LWFC (see the last page of the insert). That doesn't mean he discounts the wisdom of Christianity, especially since Muslims believe in Jesus and his wisdom.

But it'd be cool if Com or anyone else in the know would give the definite word.

I've heard this said before. So tell me something. How is it that Muslims believe in Jesus and his wisdom? Jesus's whole ministry - everything he spoke on - was based on one premise. That he was the son of God. So, if Muslims don't believe he was the son of God, then how can they believe anything he said? That's why I don't understand people who see Jesus as a wise man or a great prophet. He was either who he claimed to be or he was crazy. There's simply no in between. So explain how Muslims disregard his claims of divinity (which, again, was the basis of his whole ministry) while believing in everything else he said.

Sorry y'all, I know this discussion doesn't belong in the OkayArtist board (and I also said I wasn't tryin to turn this into a philosophical debate), but I've been wondering this for a while.

as complex as mr. sense is about his belief system and his life, do you think you are going to get a straight answer to this question?

at least that's the impression I get. A lot of people are spiritual without being religious. I'm guessing he subscribes to beliefs from both but is committed to neither. A long time ago he said something to this effect on the board when someone accused him of being demonic. Still ain't nothing like the horse's mowf...it doesn't really matter to me though

Maybe. It might. Actually, knowing what system of belief he professes would clear up a lot of things that he's said in his music and on his covers. Particularly, I'm looking for some clarification of his verse on G.O.D. Some of his philosophy seems a little, well... let's just say it could use some clarification and leave it at that. I'm trying to avoid a huge philosophical debate, but I still want my original question answered.

Maybe if I knew where he was coming from, I could appreciate what he's saying more. Maybe I'd appreciate it less. But yeah, probably it would change my views on his lyrics - at least a little bit - one way or the other.
