SAY WHA!?!
Pharoah Monch is definitely a hero to me. His album may not be "ground-breaking" progressive hip hop, but to me, it's as hip hop as you can get. For me, growing up, hiphop was all about rockin the party, throw-ya-hands-up ya know? That's what I get from Pharoahe's album. His rhyme schemes are still unparalled, his rapid-fire, crisp delivery is untouchable. What else can you say? I even liked his album slightly more than Mos Defs.
He drops all kinds of diverse topics, incredible metaphors, just pure sickness. Don't believe me? go get a transcript of his lyric sheet. peace
