what i'm sayin, though, is that feel like makin love is just too ambient (best word i can think of) to be a single like that. i mean, the way the vocals are layered, it's too damn hard to sing along with. it also doesn't have a song structure that would grant it success as a single. i don't know why ?uest put it in the original thread, but i DO know why it's not gonna be a single.

Everything on Voodoo is tight, so single-wise, D can do no wrong. But how is he gonna do a video for that song? I'm afraid that if it doesn't match Untitled, it might lose it's appeal w/ the masses. But he does need an opportunity to be seen as more than a soulful sexpot:D.

Am I the only one who loves "Send it On"? I think that that is one of the best on the album. With the right video, I think that it could seriously blow up.

"Send it On" is my favorite song on the album, and at first thought I really could'nt imagine it getting pumped on the radio, but.......Tempo-wise it is right in line with that Joe joint that they play the eff out of. Also most of Brian Mcknight's jawns (Back at One) are along the same tempo. I'm not comparing D to Joe or Brian, just saying that on the strength of "Untitled" if "Send" gets a little spend, I can see people chanting that smooth a@@ chorus. Before I got "Vodoo", my local radio station did a review of it and they said "definitely check for track 5" so that's the first song I listend to. Low and behold "Send it on" is my fave. Peace!!!

Send It On is my favorite cut on D's CD, I think this song is a perfect choice for the next single, however, like most songs on the radio, this song will become played out quick. I guess my second favorite cut, "Spanish Joint" will soon move into first place.

"send it on" is definitely one of my favs.so are "spanish" "root" "africa" "playa".but as far as radio play i think "send it" would receive more success but it resembles "untitled" as far as style and tempo, so i thought they might try to go a different route.like someone said earlier ,the fact that d'angelo doesnt sound like the typical radio overplayed artist is a reason we like him.the "feel like" cover is cool(the addition of lauryn would've added even more flav)but i would choose "send it" if i had decision power.

I felt this should be the next single. It was the 2nd song on Voodoo I swooned to and it will catch the attention of some older folks.
As for the video he probably won't show too much skin, but it will blow up non the less because folks want to see what's he gonna do to top "Untitled".

Now for my own selfish reasons I would have picked "Spanish Joint", cause it makes me feel so good.

I do think "Feel like..." should be the next single because it is danceable. It would be dope if he could flip it and get that duet with L-boogie for the remix version.

Well, they've been playin "feel like makin love" in the ATL so I assumed that was the new single, I guess "Send it On" will be next now. I personally think "Great Day in tha Morning" would make a nice single.

like it's the NEXT single like you said! If I had chosen the next single I would have gone w/ Devil's Pie since it's more upbeat and such. If that one wouldn't have worked because it was on a soundtrack before, I would have released "One Mo Gin" or my personal FAVORITE, "the Root"! Okay, Send it On is a very good song, and the best next single. It's the second best song on the album after "Untitled". But this is also the other song that sounds the most like a Prince song. D'Angelo has already been criticized for sounding too much like Prince.

When is he going to let everyone hear his own style without taking so much from Prince's sound? He's gonna get pigeonholed as the cat who tries hard as hell to be and sound like Prince. If he keeps this up, he should seriously think about paying Prince royalties for his album sales. Or he may simply have to become original and work on developing his own style which he established on Brown Sugar.

I mean, I understand Prince was an influence on him, but damn, don't make every single a "Prince-sounding" song. D'Angelo is very much talented enough to put out some dope stuff of his own, using his own style. So why doesn't he do it and stop biting so much. He's gonna chip a tooth one day.
