sorry to bring this post back up, but i had to say my piece.

One must be honest with themselves and realize that their vocal styles are ridiculously close.

I'm sitting here listening to Soul Sista, and when B first started singing, I coulda swore I was listening to D. Listen to the way he sings the opening lines. The phrasing and vocal texture is ripped straight from Chapter 3 of the D'angelo handbook...

Listen to the chorus... when he sings "You must be my soul sister..."

the accents on "must" and "my" are from Chapter 9 of the D'angelo handbook...

I'm not gonna lie and say that Bilal sucks.. because he doesn't...

Just don't get mad when the comparison is made... and it's damn valid.

Bilal is actually quite dope.. when he doesn't sound like a D'angelo clone.
